It's an exciting time for MMC Ministries and Project Edinburgh! We have been invited to attend the WePrayCOG Conference in Stuttgart, Germany at the end of February. Our team is thrilled to have this opportunity to engage with key leaders and administration on top of meeting and interviewing potential recruits/interns for the project.
As you may have already seen, we need to raise $3,000 in order for our team to attend this conference together. This money will go toward travel and hotel expenses. We will fly from the United States to Germany and stay in Stuttgart for the duration of the conference. We understand this is a significant amount in a fairly short time, but if every person who has "liked" the Project Edinburgh page on Facebook donated just $10, we'd double our goal!
We want our supporters to be as informed as possible which is key to our core belief in honesty and transparency. Any monetary donation we receive goes directly toward needs related to Project Edinburgh. But we understand the need to know more specifics. This post is to detail some of that information.
As such, one of the key persons we intend to meet with is the Church of God General Overseer, Tim Hill. His support will mean more and more open doors around the world for Project Edinburgh to find the resources we need to grow and thrive. Along with the General Overseer, the Church of God World Missions Director--David Griffis, Field Director--Stephen Darnell, and Director of Church of God Prayer Ministry-Doug Small will also be in attendance. Each of these leaders are vital to the development of Project Edinburgh. We need their support and involvement in order to meet necessary goals.
In addition to these meetings are the pre-interviews with potential recruits/interns. Project Edinburgh needs several interns for the birthing church plant. These people will be the framework of staff for this first church and will eventually disperse to new church plants in Scotland. Our goal is for them to use the knowledge they've gained to be a key to the growth and vitality of the new location.
As you can see, our time in Germany will be very busy with working on the continued and future success of Project Edinburgh. We greatly appreciate the abundance of support we have received thus far. The seeds are being sown and we anticipate an overflowing harvest.
